Echos is an Irish service that allows you to record video messages and schedule their delivery to a recipient at a future date. Our website is echos.ie. You can contact us at support@echos.ie.

What data we collect

• Account information: your email address and name when you sign up
• Video content: the video messages you record
• Recipient details: the name, email address, and/or phone number of people you send messages to
• Payment information: processed securely by Stripe — we do not store card details
• Usage data: when messages are delivered and viewed

How we use your data

• To store and deliver your video messages on the date you choose
• To notify you when a recipient views your message
• To process payments for premium messages
• To send transactional emails related to your account and messages

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

How long we keep your data

• Classic messages: video is deleted 24 hours after first viewing
• Premium messages: video is stored indefinitely until you delete your account
• Account data: retained until you delete your account

Third-party services

We use the following services to operate Echos:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Cloudflare R2 — video storage
• Resend — email delivery
• Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) — WhatsApp delivery
• Stripe — payment processing
• Vercel — hosting

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Object to processing of your data

You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard. For any other requests, contact us at support@echos.ie.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
